LIGHTHOUSE FOSTER CARE

Not for profit Website & Digital Strategy
The Animals were approached to create a not for profit website for Lighthouse Foster Care. The group is part of The Lighthouse Foundation . A charitable organisation founded by Susan Barton AM. An individual who is a revolutionary Australian leader in the area of babies, children, and youth homelessness. Susan began caring for vulnerable young people in her very own home 40 years ago, before starting Lighthouse Foundation ten years later. Since then Lighthouse Foundation has assisted more that 1,000 young people to transform their lives, with that number growing each year. It’s an organisation with incredible impact, and we’re very proud to work in partnership with them.

As the Foundation has expanded, so too have their Foster Care services. The organisation approached us to not only amplify their digital presence in this area, but also take their Lighthouse Foster Care brand online. The timing of this request has coincided with a major drive for more singles, couples and families to embrace the emotional benefits of caring for some of our country’s most vulnerable children by the organisation.

The Animals worked closely with the not-for-profit to develop and provide:

• End-to-end creation of fully functional website.
• Wireframing and UX guidance.
• Digital Design and reworking of assets, while maintaining the brand style and tonality.
• Ongoing assistance and guidance in Digital Strategy.

In a short space of time since launch this year, the results for Lighthouse Foster Care have been immense. Including:

• 3,800 new users in just 4 months since launch.
• High engagement and dwell times.
• Three-fold increase in visitation in the last 30 days (at time of writing).

The work this organisation do is nothing short of amazing. We are thrilled to be able to contribute in our own small way to their mission to assist vulnerable youth.
